    1 Year

Well, today was the day that I was intially diagnosed with Leukaemia 1 year ago. Not sure if it has gone quickly or slowly as most of the previous 12months has been a bit of a blur. There has been ups and downs and the road ahead is still quite bumpy. However, thanks to some brilliant minds, I'm still alive and kicking.

That's great news (the part about still being ok).

I know someone who is in a similar situation. She was diagnosed over 7 years ago. Although she has to take constant medication and have regular check-ups, she is still alive today.

I'm trying to figure out if the Happy Birthday smiley would be funny or in poor taste. Hmmm... Since I can't post pictures just imagine that I put up the one of the kitten in the tree that says "hang in there".
