Is it possible to join part way through?

No because there is a draft at the end of the month to select players. You don't technically have to take hardly any actions once your team is drafted unless one of your players gets injured or has the week off. Of course if you just lets your basic lineup stand you may not do as well. I have however seen guys abandon a league and not only make the playoffs without even looking at their team, they actually won a playoff game.

We've got 7 people at least verbally committed now. We need 1 more to make it a private 8 team league. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It should be me. Just haven't had time since building this new PC. Will make a big push over the weekend.

Any tips? Or advice for a total noob? I haven't seen past the register screen.

The main page of the league has a fantasy football 101 page. Since the system will automatically pick a team for you you can't really go far wrong at the start. Sometimes you will a crazy team like having 3 defenses or 2 kickers (you need 1 of each) but once the teams are assigned it gets more fun. You can play it pretty much like looking at an excel spreadsheet and do fairly well but you get successful when you start playing hunches and they pay off. We'll help you out for a few eeeks until you get the hang.

OK, I've joined. Seems like my only option so far is to edit the pre-draft rankings which I have no idea what that means lol.

It's a list of the projected top scorers for the upcoming year. They list how they think it will go and you can either ride with that ranking are try to outguess them. The other thing you can do there is eliminate guys from the list that you would definitely not want on your team because you may think they are not going to perform well at all, they may be injury prone or they may just play for a team that you could not possibly root for. You should probably just leave it alone.

Last chance guys. Since the 2 guys at work haven't signed up I opened the league public last night to fill the final 2 slots. 1 filled immediately but 1 remains at the moment. The link to join is in post #15 of this thread.
