If you own gtx 660 or higher, you get shadow play. It is on GXP.

I still use FRAPS, but that's cause it cost me 20$ like 10 years ago.

I have yet to try Shadowplay, but I plan to.

I can't see jumping from AMD->nVidia for sake of this software. The cost/product isn't there (for me)

I wouldn't jump just for one piece of software that's in beta. However, I generally tell everyone to go NVIDIA soooo.... DO IT!

(I'm personally obsessed with NVIDIA because of the Quadro and Tesla more than anything.)

hopefully your cpu components can handle video recording in the background, with fraps running even for non graphics heavy games like CS:GO while i was recording at 720p, my cpu load sky rocketed and also my framerate in-game dropped to 30 and even lower for graphic intensive moments.

my PC setup is pretty new too: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/deejank/saved/1rtn

A key feature of the newest beta Shadow Play is very light CPU demand. I assume it utilizes the GPU more heavily.
