Happy Thanksgiving everyone. This year I am thankful that my wife got a new job after being out of work for a year. I am thankful that her mom survived open heart surgery. I am thankful that some dude invented yoga pants.

Happy Thanksgiving! Be safe and patient if travelling in nasty weather areas. Try to remember those less fortunate. Keep highly-charged, argument starting topics of conversation to yourselves. Turn off the news, listen to music, watch some comedy; don't take football outcomes so damned seriously.

I am thankful for having good friends. I am thankful for still being above ground. I am thankful the economy is recovering. I am thankful there are still women who haven't covered their beautiful skin with questionable "art". I am thankful for having a place to live and food to eat. I am thankful for the brave men and women who serve our country. And I am thankful for having been a part of this community.

This year I am especially thankful that my father made it through heart surgery with flying colors back in June. He is doing great and so is the rest of my family. When it really comes down to it, that really is all that matters!

We are only cooking 2 birds on Thursday. One will stay frozen. So it will be one 26# turkey and one 19# turkey. Soup and leftovers will be in plenty
