    College

    Hello all,
I know college for me is a distant 5 years away but really it is quite close.
I just wanted to see what people majored in at college and what College they went to.

Right now I am looking at UCSD, Yale, Duke, Oregon State, University of Oregon, and a couple other.

I want to major in Buisness and Minor in either Psychology, Political Science, or Economics.
Edit: Here is the schools and the Major/Minor I would pursue.
    UCSD: Major: Political Science
    Minor: Economics
    Yale
    Major: Political Science
Minor: Psycology/Economics (one of the two)
    Duke:
    Major: Political Science/Psycology
    Minor: Psycology/Economics

    Tell me what you think.

Don't rush into declaring a major until you take classes in that field, most students change majors like 2-4 times.

It's way too early to think about either major or school for you. Though if you think you want to go to an Ivy League, start planning out lots of extra curricular activities, and make sure you're going to maintain excellent grades.

Aside from people changing majors often even after they get to college, people change what they want from a school also. You may find some totally random school you like based off of a visit.

I didnt pick till I started my senior year, and it was a school I just applied to originally because it was free and would be another option.

I currently go to Finger Lakes Community College for Information Technology. I am planning to transfer to either RIT or Morrisville State University for a Bachelors in Info Tech.

I went into the USN instead of college. Despite 6 years of nuclear engineering and now 12 years of management there's still plenty of jobs I couldn't apply for because of the lack of a degree. Basically, find something you like to do and get some education that will help you move along that path. Bottom line, any degree is a good degree.

When people east of the Mississippi think OSU, we think Ohio State, so this gets confusing.

I would not be worried about college until your Junior Year. Just make sure you take some good classes.

trust me... whatever you wanna be right now is going to change a bunch of times... even in your college career. i went from wanting to be a journalist, game warde, radio dj, and now i'm actually a salesman. the only thing that i came close to doing was radio and did some work with a local station down here but after katrina i lost the job now i'm a salesman and actually love me job. you change your mind alot in college, and trust me, even after college people are changing there minds.

on a side note... majoring and minoring in something at the same time sucks... if your up to the job then go for it, but partying is gonna get in the way of that.

But I am thinking about it... I would love to get in some military service first but I would love to go down the roads of Criminal Justice with the hopes of being a Police Officer/Corrections Officer.

But as the others have said... Don't make up your mind too quick.
