An unfortunate truth... too much technology demo, too little UT. However, we can always hope for a decent return to what made the franchise fun. Or at least I can be delusional and think of such things...

I think UT3 proved that Epic doesn't understand how to design a popular game. I'm going to assume their new plan is mostly aimed at selling their newest game engine (again) rather than creating a great game. I'll definately be playing the free demo!

I agree with all of this, lets hope they put a little more effort into this one. Although we have had many great time here, there was something special about UT2k4.

I do miss the game, it was fun.

Can only see what happens with Epic on this one, I know the UT fanbase have been screaming at them to bring life back into the game title.

BF4 is okay! For me, the value of a game is determined based on the alternatives. If I want to play a military FPS with a large player populations, BF4's closest competition is COD. For better or worse, I wouldn't call BF4 a failure. Listen! It's got squad VOIP!
