Anyone have it? If so, so you like it and is it worth the money?? I'm thinking about canceling my phone service and getting that instead. partly because I want an Ipod too.
Where do you put the Bayonet?
Chesty Puller (upon seeing a flamethrower for the first time)
I am all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Lets start with typewriters.
Frank Lloyd Wright
I have a few friends with them and they all love them.
There are some really cool features that once you use them you say,
man...... how did we live without. It's similar to the mouse scroll wheel thing ...ya know.
Apple is great with innovations that way. Many things seen in the iPhone will be standard in all phones soon enough.
Like all of Apple's products, the iPhone promotes form over function. It really depends on what you need it for. For a business smartphone, there are better phones out there. For an entertainment device, it's quite popular.
I would wait a little bit. There will probably be other phones coming out that will be like the iphone but will be less locked down. Google is planning a totally open source phone sometime in the near future.

Not true android is a phone OS is all. My wife has an iphone and she loves it. I kinda like it too except I have different needs like
I actually like buttons
I need an ssh client
I need a full qwerty keyboard
My wife is a mac user and initially was wasn't into it but, since she needed to sync with a mac it was the logical choice for her.

Well Android is the OS but that is already out or will be here in the next couple of months. Google has also said they are planning on making an actual phone in the next year or 2 I believe.
I have an iPod Touch, but since they run the same firmware this all applies...
If you jailbreak it (you just have to follow a few simple steps or use a program you can get online, check out virtually any iPod/Apple fansite), there's so much you can do with it. You could get your own VNC to remotely control your computer (you see your computer's screen on your iPhone, and your finger becomes the mouse ), there's a whole bunch of homemade games, NES/GBA/PS1 emulators, programming IDEs, customization tools, SSH/FTP clients and servers, PDA style applications, eBooks, and more.
Not to mention it runs a full web browser whereas other phones use those crappy things that completely mess up web pages, a YouTube player, Google Maps, etc.
If the iPhone makes its way up to Canada, I'll be getting one!
I'm geting the Voyager as soon as I can. Verizons Mobile TV is going Nation Wide by May, according to my Rep. I just want it b/c it has a keyboard. I have the LG model before that with the Swivel function to watch tv and videos with.

I'm looking more for entertainment rather than business needs. For working out/running the ipod is nice. All the other stuff is great too, probably a lot more than I need! The youtube feature is also very tempting. Jeez you can rent a movie on Itunes for $3 and it supposable looks great! The E book thing is tempting too! Jeez so many things!
