Will work as long as you have dns installed.
Try this
Start
Type cmd
Open command prompt
Type nslookup
Then try google.com
If will try resolve it, results are pretty clear.
First line is the server its using, should be itself.
Pointing client and the server to internal dns is more secure, plus it helps with networking.
