I believe there was a thread just like this floating around about a year or so ago. I remember ViTO submitted several designs that were quite catchy, and if I recall correctly, there was talk about making them into T-Shirts.

I never remember hearing anything else about them, though.

Cost is probably the biggest factor I'd imagine. We'd be dealing with small batch quantities, which means we'd have to through a site like Cafe Press. They are, to put it mildly, very expensive.

I think it all boils down to level of interest. If we can drum up enough interest to get it going, I'd bet Cain wouldn't mind the extra bit of cash flowing into his operation. To be honest though, I don't think the community now is as large as it was during the BF days (more in activity than membership), so I have doubts we'd be able to get this whole process started over.

Then again, I like to be proved wrong on occasion

I checked this out briefly. Cafepress and Zazzle both have shirts for like $15 each. Zazzle gives you more options, has a better volume discount, and has cheaper shipping, but either way $15 for 1 custom shirt isn't too bad.

Heck if someone posts an image, people can just buy the shirts individually. That would, in the end, probably be cheaper than doing a bulk order, shipping it to 1 person, and having them ship them out all over the country/world.

I sell shirts through cafe press and the quality on a scale of 1 to 10 is around a 5 or a 6. Depending on which shirt you choose, after one or two washes they start developing little holes. They are expensive at first but the more you sell the percentage on their cut goes down.

My Brother prints shirts for a living. He makes some pretty cool things with his printer. If someone here could make the artwork I can get these thing printed on a high quality clothing. He has a huge printer press in his garage in NJ that he uses. He can print things with up to 6 colors.
