EA tries to buy out Take-Two?and fails!

Take-Two, the people behind the Grand Theft Auto series, turn down a 2 billion dollar offer from EA. I really hope more companies say no to EA. I never liked the company, don?t think they offer quality games as they used to a while ago.

A hostile takeover is not out of the question at this point. However, it will be difficult for EA to persuade enough stockholders to sell with GTAIV right around the corner. Take Two is a horribly managed company, though. They need to get their crap together so they're not as vulnerable to this sort of thing.

Actually- the hostile takeover is completely out of the question.

Angel funding is just a phone call away.

Watch for post GTIV release activity.
My two cent opinion is that they will auction themselves off to the highest bidder and that there will be a bidding war.

The only reason they werent packed up and shipped to Redwood City is because they want to get the product out the door to boost the actual sale value.

Indirectly- all the quotes point to that fact.

That is really cool that someone turned EA down.
More companies need to do this.
