    Schweppes water balloon burst ad

Shot at 10,000 fps, this ad is quite cool (in an artsy, fartsy way) to watch:

I think it's cool how the balloon kind of "unwraps" from the water and it leaves the water suspended for a little while.

Before sales I was in marketing.

That pretty much slays the holy freaking S out of more than 90% of the ads I see in the marketplace.

It hits every demographic that would use the product, its catchy and it works.

The downside is that its just too long for production and slot time.
It costs a gajillion dollars to go past 40 seconds and you pay for every 3 (maybe its 5) past it in increments of insane value.

OK I officially want some ginger ale.

Oh and btw, did anyone watch the video "slowed down camera" (top of the related videos list)? I mean, I understand why you call it "slow motion" but when the guy said "this camera can record events 1000x times slower than normal" I cringed a little... I guess sometimes I can be a little anal about technicalities, but saying a high-speed camera records "slowly" is going too far. I mean, it's just wrong. Is it so hard to explain it has a high FPS and plays back slowly?

Ok, my rant is over. Time to get some ginger ale.

Yeah, and it's one of those commercials where you don't even remember what the product was they were actually advertising.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
