I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some mid level governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!

I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.

I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I haven't burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.

I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country! This is AMERICA .

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution. Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry rear if you're running from them..

I also think they have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.

And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think it's good..... and I'm proud that 'God' is written on my money.

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause.

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.

And what is going on with gas prices... again?

I believe 'illegal' is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.

I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA !

If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I'm a BAD American.

I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country! This is AMERICA !

I have lived in this flawed country my entire life, and often I don't like the way things are here. If I could change this country to suit my personal taste, I suppose I might also want to remove everyone who didn't think like I do - but I wouldn't.

However, I must share my good country with people who have different beliefs and opinions. Even though I feel self-serving diatribes as this only exist to widen the divide, I must listen and try to understand the viewpoint of the author. He's not going away, and I'm not going away, so hopefully someday we'll reach an agreeable understanding.

I thought that was pretty clever. But the things he mentioned negatively, aren't they some of the things that make people come here to start a life? Isn't that why some people think of us as so great?

I have a couple of issues with these types of rants for example

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.

Hmmm not that I eat big macs but, to me as long as the person can understand 1,2 or 3 and correctly count money I really don't see what the issue is

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to

Everyone has the right to pray whenever they want. However I'm not paying property taxes so people can pray in organized religion at school. I'm paying property taxes so kids can learn actual facts at school.

I think this is in reference to the latest congressional resolution about the genocide in Turkey. Hmm I can see point about why bother but, I can also see a point saying that genocides are bad

I have a huge fricking problem with this statement. So slavery was ok, women shouldn't vote and people could be hung for being a Quaker. Uh no. We fix the bad things. This is what is good about America. Supporting this statement is just stupid

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

No voting should be as simple as possible period.

Blame the Brits. They were the ones so greedy in the 50's that they raped Iran for it's oil. Incidentally asking the US to overthrow Iran's one and only democratically elected government. Don't believe me go and do a google search on Operation Ajax.

Umm no the law is a living thing. It can change. Also getting rid of lawyers is not the answer either. If you remove lawyers you remove people who help people who do not understand legal proceedings...Meaning you. It would remove or highly damage your ability to defend yourself.

This is an analogy for the concept of English as a primary language and an overall expectation for living in the United States. They can count money and the like- but do they understand all the safety labels? Do they understand all the things like wash your hands before you start the shift, after you use the restroom etc?

Actually- you pay property taxes so that you can have a road, a fire department, a police department and a small sliver of the educational promise here in California. I'm also assuming that you have found no social or moral merits in religion whatsoever and disagree with the first 200 years of our country's heritage where religion was a daily part of all education....

This one is prejudice in any form of thinking. The Example for this logic is: White people owned slaves, invaded Japan, and inflicted harm on Vietnamese people- so all white people need to be permanently apologetic and give us special standing to pay us back for those deeds.

You are correct about the congressional resolution.
I live in the US, I was born here, and obviously I have never owned a slave, I have never been to Japan, Vietnam, or Detroit for that matter. So why should I have to feel bad about things that have nothing to do with me and have long been resolved?

I hear your point, and we need to assimilate culture- not be overrun by it. Those problems you just used in your example are not really cultural inside out, but culture outside in. Those things were brought to the United States from the outside, and we solved those problems from within our society. Not the other way around. What this statement is about is the people who dont want to assimilate and they dont want to do things like learn english or register a social security number, or pay taxes, or declare residency- BUT they still want all the benefits.

You like taxes it appears, because you started from the get go on them- so think about this- they pay half as much (or less) in taxes, but cost more than twice as much to serve thanks to all the added paperwork and unplanned resources they must be provided.

Your property taxes are paying for the non-conformists who refuse to assimilate into the US.

I agree. The only people who should be allowed to vote are people who are citizens of the US.

Maybe if we had a higher percentage of actual contributors to the bottom line, then we would have more money to spend on all those institutional feel good services that would help these guys out.

What you will find is that the US is finding its' equilibrium again, and just now discovering that certain income brackets shouldnt be driving luxury vehicles or owning 10,000 sqft homes. The british gallon equivalent is nearly 9 bucks a gallon, and we are whining about nearly $4?

Sorry dudes, but the bubble has been popped and reality is just a recession away.

Illegal is illegal- and if you don't like it you file a proceeding. You don't forge a street fight to protest it. There is no such thing as kinda speeding, kinda hit him, kinda drank and drove, kinda have an unregistered weapon, and etc.
Either you are a citizen or a registered Alien- everyone else is illegal, and in violation of the law should be subject to penalty.

This guy messed up on lawyers, and what he meant to say is 'lobbyists' posing as lawyers who suck the wind out of the legal structure with their intent to change the world through their frivilous lawsuits.

The real Lawyers are the people like my brother who are in there fighting for people's problems and amicably resolving conflict as the process should be.

By what measure? There is a contradiction in your voice because if you add them up, you are saying if you can't speak english, you dont want to pray, you are in demand of repatriation (I think thats the word when you demand compensation for a past wrong), if you want to turn the US into a version of your homeland, and etc- That by your assumed measure, that makes you a good american.

But if you an opposite of that, then that makes you a bad american.
What happened? So people who break the law are better americans than him?
