Actually I like being able to block both sigs and avatars and I do. So don't feel bad guy's I just assume that I'm not seeing your cool sigs

I realize these thread are new here, and I haven't complained about the forums untill we moved. I realize that there is work to be done, and lots of it, but I would like to point out that avatars and siggys shouldn't take this much work. The forums look great, but they don't feel great. And honestly, i've started playing here less and less as the asshats become greater and greater. I hop into the CoD4 server, and within 10-15 minuets there's cursing, attempted TKing, and other such things, without so much as a warning. I see admins in, with no warnings to these players. I understand we are all here to have fun, but it is getting to be a bit much for this player. I didn't expect things to stay the same after the ut2k4 ONS server was pulled, but I certinally didn't expect it to get worse. CLR's where on the forums before they threw the tag on in-game, now i'm seeing people who arn't part of the forums (even recent additions who would be tollers) throwing it on, and ruining the name. It's a general concern that i've had sense the BF2142 server went up and a noticable ammount of asshats started appearing. I'll admit, I haven't seen many cheater (if any really), but that doesn't make up for the other things that seem to be lacking.

Please take these compaints seriously,

i figured it out... disapointing
no siggys for non payers
no custom avitars for non payers
no edit abilities for non payers
no polls for non payers

so basically we lost more then we gained coming here (for the non payers)
we cant even play the games in the arcade... (even if it isnt for highscore)

i can't afford any of the subscriptions and prolly wont be able to for a long time

I fully agree! I got a subscription because I wanted to help out but I though it was really quite low that we are reduced to using such a system, and was really quite annoyed/disappointed to see it in place. Frankly I feel that members should have the right to donate to the community, not the requirement. There are plenty of good players here that deserve their sig and avatars as much as anyone else but simply do not have the cash to buy a subscription. I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful but whoever chose that configuration took a page straight out of EA's book. I think it will end up taking away from the forums in the long run, but it is not my server so I will not complain futher, I just thought it relevant to add my 2C

Something that I have always wondered is why people seem to always have money for beer, computer parts, new video games, but never even $5 to give to a server that everyone knows requires a TON of work and money to run. This is just my opinion, but if you realy want a sig and an avatar, just make a donation.

But remember, we probably don't care about your stats anyway.

Honestly...I got a subscription to help out. I use a crappy little Xfire sig that I'm not sure is up to date and I'm not using an avatar at all. Oh goody, everyone can look at my fluff. Honestly I'd rather have people remember me for the posts I make, not what pretty colors I have in them.

I don't get the requirement to donate to be part of the community.

I don't have the cash to donate. So I have not. I have an avatar. I have a siggy. They just aren't custom. I am just as part of the community than anyone else. It doesn't stop me from talking wtih people, joking, discussing,...

The other option to not asking for donations for the extra fluff that is NOT required to have a community would be shutting down the website or some of the servers. Cutting on the quality of gaming that we have. Slower connections, worse pings, less players on a map. One guy has been the main source of funding, others have stepped up to help with major funding and along the way, some donations were received...but most of this is out of Cain's pocket. Last I checked, Cain hadn't won the lottery and I don't recall seeing him in the latest copy of Fortune 500. There is always the option that Cain really is Steve Martin and has millions in the bank

I think alot of what we are seeing as part of the culture we live in. We are in a culture of entitlement where people want to have and feel they should have, no questions asked. People do not like to have something one day and then not have it the other. I'm sure that if we had no custom avatars on the other forums, and we came out with a
new forum setup where people could pay to get custom avatars, there wouldn't be many people with issues.

I don't see the link between a good player deserving a custom sig and picture avatar.

And all this is still in its infancy stage. Things are being felt out and tried. They will be tweaked, they will be adjusted if Cain sees fit to.

All comments and all feedback are 100% welcome. I simply tend to have a different one than the ones posted here, that is all.
