My heart goes out to you Moe.

A month or so ago when I was in the eye Dr's office, there was an elderly couple there. My hubby's and I app. were back to back but when those two came in, they ended up taking them. To me, it was no biggie. The lady at the front desk kept apologizing.

When they came out, they started filling out some papers and the guy asked the woman for her insurance card. She started looking for her purse but shortly realized she didn't have it. The guy looked as if he was going to break down and cry. He then went to the desk and told the lady he didn't have the insurance card. They reassured him it was ok but then he started to explain. The thing that stuck in my head was him saying that she had gone and got alzheimer's on him.

He wasn't complaining or mad, you could just tell he was about to have a break down.

It broke my heart. All I could think about was how my Grandpa passed away in Sept and May would of been my Grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. My Grandpa always took care of my Grandma. He took care of all of us. In his last few months with us, we did what we could for him. He was a proud man and having to be taken care of like he did, he didn't like it. He was always our rock but he had a hard time letting us be his.

      God bless you Moe.
So go on, go on be your own, go on be your own star!
      A superstar in my eyes!

            Moe,

Thanks for sharing with us. Sharing is the best thing you can do for yourself and your wife.

We all have several hills to cross in our lives- everyone's are different, but don't you believe for a second yours is any more difficult than mine nor any other.

What may be an easy climb for you, may be Everest to another.
I honestly believe life, or God, will not give you anything you cannot handle and that you are at the foot of your own Everest right now. But trust everything in your heart and know that you will reach the top, this will pass, and you will be a better person for knowing what you know about life, love, and living in this situation of passing.

Resent nothing about your children and instead understand that they are naive. Take pity on them and continue to give them opportunities to fix their position. I say this because if they do not, and your wife has passed, they will be stuck with the throbbing unending pain of remorse, want to spend time with here (in any state), and sadness over their missing mother.

Humanity is universal, no matter the person. I want to thank you for reminding me that today.Spread kindness like you do Moe- I really appreciate it,

            ~Hammy
