You never know what's going to happen!

Well, There I was sitting on the beach in Maui looking across the ocean at Molokai (another island), and my wifes phone rings. She answers and for the next 24hrs we are in shock.

You see we have been in the adoption process for a while, but we had about 6 more months to go before we most likely would get placement of child, 99% chance it would be a boy, there was over a 2yr waiting list for girls.

Then we got the call...... then the email.........

I'd like to introduce everyone to my daughter......







She'll be 2 this month. We'll most likely get her in July. We couldn't be happier. Just wanted to share.

Congrats man!!!! I am so happy for you she is adorable ... I have an 8 month old daughter and believe me, it is the best thing you will ever experience. Just treasure her as long as you can and you will see the love in return

Pig, I didn't know you were adopting !! We brought our boy home from Guatemala last May, and he's now 20+ months old. I had no prior experience with boys, but I now know what the term 'he's all boy' means !!

Congrats on the adoption. Is she Vietnamese ? I have two adopted sisters, one (6 y.o.) from Vietnam and another (3 y.o.) adopted from Guatemala that my StepMom adopted.

She is from South Korea.

I have a soon to be 18yr old son and a soon to be 16yr old daughter from a previous marriage that live with me, joint custody. My wife though hasn't had children and we've been un-succeful so far, gotta keep try'n though you know, so we went this route. We're really excited about it.

Many reasons for the wait, and the large expense. Cost more that I thought it would. But it's worth it.
