    Just wow part 2

U.S. Spies Want to Find Terrorists in World of Warcraft
By Ryan Singel EmailFebruary 22, 2008 | 2:15:43 PMCategories: Spooks Gone Wild

Virtual_osama_full Be careful who you frag. Having eliminated all terrorism in the real world, the U.S. intelligence community is working to develop software that will detect violent extremists infiltrating World of Warcraft and other massive multiplayer games, according to a data-mining report from the Director of National Intelligence.

The Reynard project will begin by profiling online gaming behavior, then potentially move on to its ultimate goal of "automatically detecting suspicious behavior and actions in the virtual world."

    Completely bizarre

I had an idea like this around 2006 or so. I was playing SilkRoad online, and I saw people with names about terrorism and terrorist groups. It would be a great recruiting ground. And imagine them farming gold and selling it to American kids for American money.
I would be surprised if there werent terrorists recruiting and whatnot in MMO games.

It would not surprise me one bit if recruitment was actually happening in MMORPG's

Well, I played Guild Wars, and people were trying to get "top Secret" information from certain players of certain nationalities. It's overboard, but hell, if you're stupid enough to strap a bomb on yourself and spend a life of misery where your only goal is to end other peoples life, you are probably dumb enough to do more than "pwn" other players online.

I will do it without pay if they supplied a rig and connection.
Imagine talking to people about your job years later when it is no longer classified. "I played WoW and hunted down terrorist in the online world for the U.S. Government."
As David Chappelle would say "It's the most balla $hi% ever!"
