Time to play by your own rules. Formerly known as Private Games, Community Games are something we know Battlefield™ V players have been longing for. We’re glad to announce that the next game update is bringing Community Games your way.
Designed for those who want more personalized multiplayerexperiences, Community Games will let you create and play on customized servers with specific settings. Maybe you want to create a playlist rotating only Pacific maps? Perhaps you’re a content creator who prefers your own personal Battlefield V sandbox to create stunning videos? We’ve designed Community Games to bring something for everyone.
Community Games go live on December 9 and are free for all Battlefield V owners. Community Games will be found through the in-game multiplayer menu's bottom-right corner, just below "advanced search."
In our Community Broadcast post, the DICE developers behind Community Games are going to share the nitty-gritty details. As an overview, here are the major features you’ll be able to tinker with when setting up a Community Games server.
Create and name several game configurations
Create and join a private game
Choose game mode
Choose map
Choose a maximum number of players (from a predefined list)
Choose how many rounds the server should play
Choose a password
Kick players from server
Ban and manage banned players (session only)
Everyone has their favorite Battlefield V aspects, so the playlist and preset configs will let you cherry-pick your experiences, while password, kick, and ban features let you create safe and protected play spaces. But there are other perks to Community Games.
As you may know, Battlefield V occasionally offers time-limited game modes. Some of these will be available to play through Community Games servers, even when they are out of rotation. Another benefit is that your Battlefield V journey won’t end just because you’re enjoying Community Games – weapon, vehicle, and rank progression keep ticking along (if you’re on a non-password protected server).
We hope that Community Games bring many fun, intense, and tailor-made experiences! Jump in early December and discover all the possibilities.
