Unless they allow independent servers Cain isn't going to bother with it and I agree with him.

Where do you put the Bayonet?

Anyways, having your own servers isn't a thing anymore? I figured if you looked hard enough, this would be possible, yes?
Check this out: This is BF5, but if they have it for that, wouldn't surprise me if they do it with BF6

It's about the community and being able to set and enforce server rules to prevent asshats, run the maps you like and have a server full of your friends new and old. This is what made Cains Lair servers the best to be found.

I did a Google search on private servers for BF games, the Shack News article seems to iterate this regarding Rented Private Servers.

It seems the game companies want control over their game servers more than they want more customers.

I had this same conversation with a friend, and this was the response:
I know people who also miss private servers and the sense of community they gave. But the suits don't like it, so we play with what we're given.

It's also Cain's right to not run one if he can't make it the safe fun place he wants to offer gamers and their children.

Is a shame, but its just how it is.
Cain's always wanted to ensure people can be safe and have fun.
When he stopped with the BF series it was nothing short of he could not even remove people who where being blatant 'cheaters' or those who where harassing others, or those guys that would constantly do things to annoy everyone.
It was against the TOS do almost anything. For even getting to runn the server, Cain had to sign off on a massive you can and can not do sheet before they even considered giving him one.
We had to run it with DICE rules, DICE approved commands which where nothing but on, off, change map... we could not even kick people!
Then there was matchmaking, if your server dropped below 60% populated it was no longer considered for automatic matching.
Oh I could grumble about those late BF servers all night....
But yeah as for the "play with what we are given" yeah I agree but there is a limit to it, when you encounter bullying and harassment and you are unable to do anything but press a button and hope that DICE tells them off?
Its not a good place for communities to be in, especially when you have 63 people shouting in global chat about the guy under the map in a tank blasting everyone.
Its fine to make lemonade out of lemons, but if the gaming community as a whole stopped accepting the lemons they would not keep giving them out and maybe start giving us oranges.Last edited by Sirex; 12 Mar 2021, 06:55 PM.

When my son was old enough to game, the only server he could play on was Cain's I knew that Cain, the admins and players would watch out for him. I di not have to worry about asshats. IN CS Cain had sprays disabled. now I liked spraus as much as the next guy, but the pornographic sprays were to much especially when children are playing. Cain kept it clean and fun.
