Last year Idalia hit us as a category 2 and did a lot of damage. We were lucky and came through unscathed. Helene hit us as a category 4 and also devastated the area. Again, we were lucky and did not have any damage, on this one my store was down without power for twelve days. We have had three linemen killed with this one. One was killed by a woman drive at an excessive speed. It killed her, flipped his truck and put him in the hospital with critical injuries. I heard yesterday that he had died. Two others were electrocuted because people connected their generators to their main breaker which energized the lines from their houses that should have been dead.

Have seen lots of reports about downed trees and the like, some of the pictures i've seen are scary!
wow Apache thats... really
People should not be using generators if they have not isolated them properly.
Your right though lucky on the previous ones, hopefully its all gone soon and the big ones are over
Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
Luckily, I live on top of a hill.

Aye, I'm inclined to agree with that lmao
Gone are the days of warm summers and snow filled winters here, nothing but rain and wind for 8mths of the year, rain the other 4 with maybe a week of dryness.
So all the water that would have invaded you is going elsewhere, hopefully it holds out and we don't need to buy boats for christmas presents
We had 17 inches of rain from the storm on November 7, 2024.
