Well, day 1 and the 1st two rounds are over. Did your team get what they needed? Pittsburgh really needed to protect the QB but by the time they got to pick at 23 all the 1st round type OT/OG guys were gone. Their D-line is getting up there too. Sooooo.... they got a running back and a receiver?

Dallas didn't need an everydown back, so Pitt got him. They DO have a great RB, but at any time, ANY player can go down. Insurance... With a mediocre RB, your chances are slim to none doing well in black and blue divisions.
Dallas did well getting a scat back to compliment our backfield. Dynamic Duo.
Power and finess.
TE was picked to shore up the backup and possible future needs.
We traded a 2nd round TE that didn't pan out, with a LB, for a 4th round pick at miami. We got rid of 2 BIG salaries.. Win Win
CB was helped ALOT. After all, you NEED 4-5 quality CB's these days, with 3-4 WR spreads. New breed of TE's are fast, quick, and another WR basically. You can't cover with a DE or LB most of the time.
A third RB in case Rambo or Felix get hurt is a good thought. Good size, decent speed, and can fill in OK.
All in all, I think Dallas did well in the draft. Mendenhall was neck-neck with Felix on the charts, but Felix is a shifty runner, a breakaway threat, where Mendenall is a pounder. We already have a pounder, so there ya go.
Funny, that RB is such a crap shoot, almost as much as QB. We let our 1st round RB go to free agency, and kept a 4th round RB (Barber).
Better than 50% of RB's and QB's are busts... All the measureables don't equate well to NFL playability... -
Steelers ended up getting 3 guys that will be great values if they recover from injuries. They ended up with the Oregon QB that was a Heisman contender till he blew out his knee. I see him as another Kordell Stewart/Randal El type of guy.Comment

Buffalo picks up a much needed IMMEDIATE Starter in the Secondary !!
Overall we may have a sleeper or 2 in the late rounds, I think it was a decent draft for my guys !Comment
