Moe I was a Field Accountant for a nursing home chain in NC for several years and believe me there are ways for you to get through this. First you need an admissions clerk that knows their rump from a hole in the ground at the home. Then you need a good case worker at the Medicaid office. The link on "How to pay for NH Care" is great information for you. There are spin down cards and other options out there such as Medicare which would pay for some services and possibly care depending on if she is skilled or non skilled level in the home. I know this is a trying time Moe but try not to panic. There is a lot of information coming at you right now and dealing with that and the care of your wife is too much to handle I know. {{{HUGS}}}
