    Yep, talking about Counterstrike Source.

Gungame = you start with a crappy pistol (as does everyone else). Each 1st kill you get in a round gives you the next best weapon. You go up the ladder of weapons until you hit the grenade. Once you get a nade kill, then your next round needs to be a knife kill.

So towards the end, you are knifing against people with shotguns, smgs and riffles.

A knife kill in a round will steal a level from the other person (you go up 1, they go down 1).

The maps are fairly small, but enough obstacles to make for some fun hunting.
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.

I remember your body flying across the map in 2142 also.

This is my home away from a home that I'm always away from! lol...no really I love this place and it's only been a little over a year for me. You guys are great. Someday we should all throw a kick butt LAN party so everyone can meet up...only thing is that some of you guys and gals are all over the world. Maybe we could set up a video conference or something. That'd be tight! But I'm up for meeting up sometime in the U.S. I can afford to take a vacation week to meet some of the best people I know.

Many years ago (prior to my time) Cain had hosted a LAN party. I remember Apache in some of the pictures, but not many of the other CLRs.

There were discussions a year or so ago about maybe doing another one, but the logistics of doing such a thing would be kinda big.

I would say we just meet up at Cain's house whenever and spend time in his home theatre

While being in Canada, I would try my best to get on a plane and fly down for a CLR Lan party.

for me it really depends on distance... bills are killing me, so the plane ticket can't be that expensive.

It can be pretty fun if you have the right people.

I hosted one at my house years ago, we were about 9 people. Was a bit cramped and got hot in thebasement with all the PCs running.

The hardest thing is ensuring that you all are set to go before you get there. The last thing you want is for people not to have the right version of this, or have that game installed.

But being able to throw something at someone who keeps sniping you is always fun haha

Thats the point of a LAN party. As we typically game online, with people at their houses and such, getting together to all game in a room, share some laughs, some food and all that jazz, is what its about.

So yes, you would be required to be there. Although, if you can't, I'm sure it would be fun to have you in game. You would just miss out on all the banter and jokes that will be going on

Minerva could still connect via IP I believe. Host a private game There wouldn't be much of lag either. But we would have to keep it low key. Most people would have to show up though.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
