I just wanted too let yea know that both gaming computers are up and running and you all will see us together playing COD4. Todd98 and Pidgeot_Girl are looking forward too playing against each other and you guy's.

But I have too go buy a flash drive too transfer her profile over the computer she will be using. I will get this done tonight when I get home from work.

Well I found out we cannot transfer our profiles from my copy of COD4 too PG's copy of COD4 As when she got ready too play it started me and her at the lowest level.

Ok I'm assuming bothmachines are plugged into a hub or switch or router since you want to play games at the same time. Go and read the post about backing up player profiles. On your current machine go via explorer navigate to the directory just above that. Then right click on the folder and select the option share. Check the box that say's share this folder. Now on the same machine open a cmd prompt. type ipconfig. Note the ip address. Go to the other machine and go to start/run and enter

\\yourmachinesip

it should pop open a window with the contents of that folder. Copy the contents into the right directory.

Two issues come to mind

A. in the sharing tab you may have to check the permissions on who can access that network share

B. If your both plugged in to a router you may need to make sure that the firewall is not blocking you.


It's pretty straight forward.
