    How do we build a model earth?

    13 tons of liquid sodium

    Building a Baby Earth to Test Its Magnetic Field : NPR

    Actually kind of cool what they're doing. Be interesting to see the final results when they run the experiment with the sodium instead of water.

      I was going to suggest trillions of Legos ...

      But we'd need to get the damn thing in orbit too ...

        Yes...yes they are. I still have all my blocks from when I was a kid, and every now and again I buy the new sets just cause I want to build something

          I even shelled out an excessive amount of money to buy the 50th Anniversary town set this year, just so I could have it. Awesome set.

            The northern magnetic pole is in Canada? Always thought it was in the Arctic, or so far up in the arctic that we don't count it as Canada
