          Trust me.....
Thats NOTHING compared to the amount of aid that was donated to NYC during 9-11. We actually stopped accepting donations due to lack of storage space.

There were warehouses full of material that never made it into Manhattan.
The entire SI Home port Navy Yard was packed with supplies, for months after 9-11 we were dealing with loading it unto National Guard Tractor Trailers.

Where it went from there ?? You guessed it.............. any federal agency that wanted it.
It was amazing the amount of material that was donated from every corner of the US. It seemed EVERY school in the country donated hand written empty 5 gallon buckets with hearth warming messages for workers. There were so many it was not possible to count.

I must admit, I kept a few to store my boots and gear from the site as a keepsake. They hang in my workshop as an everyday reminder.

          anyways now I'm rambling.

I think the difference here is that those supplies were still needed by local charities (and still are) whom were never informed about this stuff.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
