Department of Homeland Security does it again...

Washington Times - Politics, Breaking News, US and World News - "Want some torture with your peanuts?" by Aviation Security

This just blows my mind that they think this could be a good idea....

Wouldnt it be far simpler (and less costly) to simply 'confine' passengers to their seats for the duration of the flight.
You sit down, you lock your seat, and like a ride at an amusement park, you are now confined to your seat until someone lets you out of it.

In case someone needs to use the restroom, an armed guard could release and then guide the passenger to and from the toilet.

I dont like my idea at all.
HOWEVER- these extensive technologiocal ideas seem to be rigged by failure and include a learning curve in steepness that my idea does not possess.

Is this such a bad idea ???

      Just kidding ...

Honestly ... I think it would be funny to have webcams showing each passenger, and if you didn't like what that traveler was doing, you could pony up a dollar and zap them via the bracelet. The airlines could then stop visiting bankruptcy court and have extra income all of a sudden, and the American web surfer could take pleasure in tormenting an obnoxious airline traveler !!
This is one of those George Carlin ideas that seems perfectly legit and should be implemented immediately.

So what's the big deal? Just short-circuit a bracelet with a paper-clip, find the genius who has to sit backwards with a giant control panel ready to zap folks, knock him out, and put every bracelet on the plane on HIM before hitting the buzzer.

A senior government official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed great interest in a so-called safety bracelet that would serve as a stun device, similar to that of a police Taser?.
What they don't tell you is that the 'senior government official' probably has a vested financial interest in the company which could manufacture these things.

                    quick fix

This will work alright until the pharmaceutical (spelling?) corporations and the government have us all in a drugged stupor.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
