FCC goes up a little in my estimation

I guess we have to wait and see the actual outcome when they vote on Aug. 1 but it sure sounds like Comcast is going to get slapped. I'm still not a big fan of the FCC, but this definitely increases my opinion of them.

I don't quite see it that way. Kevin Martin is the Telco's (ATT,Sprint etc..) whipping boy. He's allways been down on cable companies. The only thing Comcast did wrong was not be extremely clear with what blocking they were doing (.i.e spell it out in the contract).

Jury is still out on this one. I still don't trust them. I got the funny feeling when they roll out the new manager, you'll start seeing more problems and disconnects with web pages, online games, etc..

I've actually considered switching to DSL if it becomes cheaper then broadband calbe in my area... I'm tired of the disconnects and slow loading pages every once in awhile.

Speaking of FCC, Dumb and Dumber came on TBS earlier today and they cut out the peeing in the empty beer bottle scene. I thought that was a little much. I mean when did it become taboo to take a leak in an empty beer bottle?

I recently switched from Comcast cable to Embarq DSL. The speed is horribly slow. Better the devil you know, I guess.
