I do have my own question.

I discovered that i was not eligable for the tax stimulus because i didnt claim myself, i was suppose to claim myself because i was not a student and i made over a certian amount, plus i am over 18. So i submitted a tax amendment Takes 8 weeks, they received it on the 26th of may. Now, my sister sent a tax amendment in a few days later. She got her corrected tax refund back a few weeks ago, mine is still processing.

What i would like to know is exactly why she got hers back before me even though i sent mine in almost a week before she did.

They might have more to process for your's. Could be a less competent employee. Could be doing some kind of investigation. It's the IRS and it's a government agency....who knows? :P

ive done that and they just keep giving me a vauge answer like "the situation is different for everyone"

The IRS is a huge mess right now. Thousands of people that were supposed to get rebate checks months ago have not received theirs, and some of us (like me) are in the last bracket to be mailed out and don't have them yet. You'll probably have to wait for things to calm down a bit before you can get an answer out of them.

It's probably something as simple as your sister's went on the desk of the 1-in-1000 government employee that actually does work, so hers was taken care of, while yours languishes on the desk of one of the other 999 idiots.
