OMG, you won't believe what I just went thru. My beautiful Golden Retreiver being the curious pup she is, just got sprayed by a skunk during out last visit in the back yard.
I mean it was a full face spray too. Luckily I think she was quick enough to turn her head and catch about half of it on the side of her head and ear. Not much on her neck or the rest of her body, but wooo buddy enough to make your eyes water.
I used a mix the girly at wal mart suggested and it helped some, peroxide, baking soda and a little dish wasting liquid.
Its hard to explain the smell. I don't know if any of you have smelled a dead skunk on the side of the road as you went by but the smell it not that pleasant. Its like its so concentrated the smell is almost like burn rubber and something else. It's no where like the smell I'm use to as I pass by a dead one. The weird thing is it's not like you think it would be where you can't walk up to them but it's so strong I don't think it registers in your brain right. You can get close and I mean close and you only notice it stronger when your nose is about an inch away from the source.
Oh well, I had to share this and yes I am calling into work tomorrow because I don't think the smell is going to come off my hands that easily and I know they don't want to smell this all day
Wow, what a smell.
