    Omg

OMG, you won't believe what I just went thru. My beautiful Golden Retreiver being the curious pup she is, just got sprayed by a skunk during out last visit in the back yard.

I mean it was a full face spray too. Luckily I think she was quick enough to turn her head and catch about half of it on the side of her head and ear. Not much on her neck or the rest of her body, but wooo buddy enough to make your eyes water.

I used a mix the girly at wal mart suggested and it helped some, peroxide, baking soda and a little dish wasting liquid.

Its hard to explain the smell. I don't know if any of you have smelled a dead skunk on the side of the road as you went by but the smell it not that pleasant. Its like its so concentrated the smell is almost like burn rubber and something else. It's no where like the smell I'm use to as I pass by a dead one. The weird thing is it's not like you think it would be where you can't walk up to them but it's so strong I don't think it registers in your brain right. You can get close and I mean close and you only notice it stronger when your nose is about an inch away from the source.

Oh well, I had to share this and yes I am calling into work tomorrow because I don't think the smell is going to come off my hands that easily and I know they don't want to smell this all day

    Wow, what a smell.

A good tomato juice bath will do the trick too.
Though, I guess the odds of your puppy getting skunked twice are pretty low.

My dog got sprayed once too in our backyard, and yes I know what your talking about. It does smell like burnt rubber!!

We tried tomato sauce and it didn't work. We figured it was just an old womans tale.

We got this solution just for it from the pet store, and the trick is to just wash the dog a lot times... one or two times isn't going to do that much.

          GL lol

I was going to, I gave it until this morning to leave, it was hiding under the shed and was gone when I got up. Maybe it understood me when I told it, it had until sun up to live

Not as bad as a skunk but pretty darn disgusting tale..

Theres a beach nearby where people take they're dogs to go run around. Some friends of mine took they're dog. You know how dogs love stinky things and love to roll around in whatever it is? Well there was a dead Sea Lion washed up on the beach. It was in a fairly decomposed state with rancid blubber in all. Well they're dog runs straight at it and starts rolling all in it.

Having tried many cases I've given up on expensive ones. Not convinced they are significantly better than an inexpensive gel case for 1/10 the money....
