    Bullets are cheap...

Death row inmate: I'm too fat to execute - CNN.com

    #2
I think thats a bunch of poppycock. If they can't find veins in his arm, then go for the other easy ones in the neck, or just cowboy up, and make sure they hit the vein in his arm. If they are worried that his weight might diminish the effectiveness of the first drug, just up the dosage, is that really such a huge deal? Either way, his argument has nothing to back it up.

Heath says Cooey's weight, combined with the potential drug resistance, increases the risk he would not be properly anesthetized.

"All of the experts agree if the first drug doesn't work, the execution is going to be excruciating," Cooey's public defender, Kelly Culshaw Schneider, said Monday
Cooey, 41, is sentenced to die for raping and murdering two young women in 1986. His execution is scheduled for October 14.
I'm sorry, but he raped and killed two women, why the **** should I care if he dies in an excruciating manner? Inject him, shoot him, just kill the ******* imo.

Only if it doesn't break from his weight.

Well they're never gonna know 'till they try

and hell, I dont see whats wrong with firing squads in the first place; much faster, much cheaper, you don't need the doc, our snipers need target practice, and noone's coming to his burial to see the bullet wound anyway.

Give him to some of the nastier prison guys and tell them they can kill him when they are done. Now he knows why he's gonna die.

Having tried many cases I've given up on expensive ones. Not convinced they are significantly better than an inexpensive gel case for 1/10 the money....
