Brett Favre Going to the New York Jets

Well finally brett Favre has been traded to the Jets for a conditional trade pick. I think Brett will rock with the Jets well just because hes awesome. Here's the First article from ESPN.

Seems every time I open the sport section there was more development on the Favre saga.

He's in, he's out. He's happy, he's pissed.

I really did hope that he would land with the Vikings though. Not only because I am a fan of the Vikings and have been a fan of Favre, but he would stick it to them and be a division rival. haha

With the Jets? Hmm... Pennington is a dud, and he probably wasn't starting this year. Clemens could be decent, but no where near Favre

He could be a good fit, will definatly give them a half decent air attack. They need better receivers though. Coles is getting old, but still has hands. Cotchery is his best bet.

Will this make them a contender? Don't think so. Not unless Jones can have a much better year in the red zone.

Too bad Green Bay isn't playing the Jets... I wonder if that factored into the trade

Hmmm. Favre has spent his whole career in the friendly confines of G.B. where everyone considers him the end all, be all. Now he has to live up to the rep in New York? Good freaking luck! New York fans and media would boo Santa, mom and kittens. But I hear they just love guys who go on TV and cry and say they don't wanna play anymore.

Living in Wisconsin, though I've like the Steelers since I was a youngster (long story...new kid in town liked the Cowboys during the 70's rivalry...beat him up one time and we became friends after that), I see news dominated by Favre throughout the year (if world news ever took front page we might have a better idea of how deep our country is in it now). Sorry. Ah, Favre, more respect I would have if he did stay out. His time has come, I saw it in all the cold weather games he played last year. He was actually putting hand warmers in his face mask...nose running...couldn't wait to get to the sidelines. He is a great player, which is why it is hard to watch him being bested by younger, less proven players...and which is why I would have liked to seen him retire with a damn good season (minus those terrible cold weather games).

Well, I know he still loves the game (in fair weather), so I guess let him play. It will be interesting to see how he does with a new team, a new chemistry, a new playbook, etc. I hope he does well, because I think he has heart, and hope he doesn't stay in long enough to go out as a wash. We shall see. Any opinions on how he does?
