      see i don't like that... its jsut something more to remember a website by... usually all you have to do is remember the name of the website and put the .com after it and your good... now i gotta remember stupid stuff after that?! if there was ever a better time to say this then i dunno but I CALL SHENANIGANS!

        Honest, its true.

        ICANN's had this in mind for over 4 years now, its only recently (with the increase in net usage) that they have decided to allow companies to have their own gtld.

        I can see the benefits thou.

          I see plenty of benefits. How often do you remember a direct URL in any case? I usually plug in a Google search and remember once I see the address there. This allows companies and organizations to stand out. It potentially opens up a lot of space too. No more paying stupid amounts of money for a domain either...well, other than the new registration/creation fee. And that should help keep it free from the biggest asshats.

            Your obviously an IE user cause Firefox will auto try .com .net and .org Also soon all you'll be able to use utf 8 for hostnames in a URL.
