By the way, what do you guys think would be the best way to meet people? I try to introduce myself to other people, but the conversations don't seem to last long. I am not a very outgoing person, because I am a little shy, so I am always uncomfortable, and I don't know what to say, or how to make small talk. Talk about things you know, share stories, be a good listener. Most people love to talk about themselves, so if you listen, and ask questions or make comments that show that you are, they'll tend to keep going and going Personally if it's people you don't know, I'd stay away from topics like politics or religion until/if you know them better. Talk about books you like, what's coming up for the new TV season, games you like to play, weird stories that I post here...oh, there's a good one...so there's this weird guy on the forums I hang out on, and he posts all these really strange stories...like this one about... Then you tell the story and make fun of me for about 10 minutes

In addition to what Trooper said you may want to join a club for some activity that you enjoy or a completely new one. Something not computer related. I joined the skydiving club when I first went to my school that was a great way to meet some really cool people. I was a bit shy myself so doing something like that was a great ice breaker and a bit of a change. Whats great about it is that you meet people who aren't just interested in the beer part.

I actually met a really nice group of people today. Suprisingly, two of them are peopl who went to my highschool. I had no idea. I also met two other people and the five of us hung out all day and just chilled. I had a really great time. Thanks for all the advise!We work in the dark, to serve the light. We are Assassins.

Meh, I have friends and I talk geeky all the time Can't say I've ever had a girlfriend say much either, other than to accuse me of being a geek or nerd on occasion Although if they don't have much tech background I tend to tone it down a wee bit

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I have been to all of my classes now, and I like my professors. The classes are not going to be easy, but what would college be if they weren't? Well im only a sophmore in high school... but my cousin who started college at SU(syracuse) last year and is riding on his sports(football) and academic scolarships. He's said it a million times to me College is much different from High School but once you get used to the rythem things will turn out ok.
BTW! Who needs to study just get a photographic memory like me! Seriously i do got a photographic memory thats why im currently our highest grade among guys at our school outta a class of 607. Not bad eh.Comment
