Ummm, Firefox is made by Mozilla. Chrome is made by Google. Different companies, different web browsers. A bunch of us here at work have downloaded it, there's some rendering issues with some websites, but speeds seem VERY nice for the ones that work. Going to test it out further with videos and some websites that I can't reach from work that I know have some "alternative" coding when I get home. It's looking nice so far as soon as they get it to a well oiled working state though. And keep in mind, this is beta.

I downloaded and tested it out earlier, but until there's something at least equivalent to Ad-Block Plus with the Filterset.G updater for it, I won't be using it much.
It looks pretty promising though, depending on the plug-ins that are developed for it. I definitely like the process isolation, but now that Google's released a web browser with it, how much longer will it be until Firefox gets it too?
Bottom line is, while it's certainly pretty cool and brings some nice new features to the table, it's not impressive enough to get me to switch to it in its current state. Let's see what changes it goes through before it's released!
Oh, and props to Google for making it open source.

it seems to be a tad bit faster than firefox.. with loading pages and starting it up.. currently on it. not sure what to think yet.. they definitely need addons and if they do i may switch.

Well, I downloaded it at home tonight and I've been running it through it's ropes. About 8 of us on the PSP help desk downloaded it today to mess around with, and we all had one kind of issue or another. I'm tending to think that it's related to the proxy or the crappy computers we have at work though. I've run it through about half of the 100+ website on my bookmarks list here at home and I've had no issues. It doesn't have the snazz and jazz of Firefox, but it runs a lot faster in my experience. I miss some of my plugins and the skin I use in Firefox, but it's nice so far. I'm going to keep an eye on updates and what people release to go with it as things move along. At this rate, I'd say I'm not ready to switch over to Chrome from Firefox, but I'd much rather use it than IE any day.

I tried it out last night, and while it does still have some issues with some sites, it is exponentially faster than Firefox.

Oh, I won't be switching away from Firefox at any time in the near future. Chrome does have it's nice points though, I'll be keeping an eye on it.
