Well, with our current education system failing, kids dropping out left and right, I think that trying to find novel approaches to getting kids in school is a great idea.

Sure, some may be a little off beat, but hey, thats what makes the world fun.

Education needs a reform. Maybe not a full on Jedi change, but it still does need a swift kick in the nads to get it going again.

I'd much rather have kids in this Jedi class getting some life lessons than having them in the streets. Or, as most of the kids taking the Jedi class are probably not street type kids, I'd rather have them in class than playing World of Warcraft for 18 hours a day

I agree with BT. Anything to get kids off the street. Personally I'd like to see less bums (you'd feel the same if you had my job), and it'd be nice for kids to stop dropping out left and right. It's sad how small (even though very large) my graduating class was. Not to mention I had a real hard time in high school because the teaching was too boring. The subject could have been very interesting, but sitting around listening to a lecture is annoying as hell and boring.

I would rater hear "The Dark side of the force was with Hitler" than "Hitler was a bad man".

Honestly, think of one of your most boring teachers when you were in high school, and picture them in their body with the Darth Vader voice saying "You don't understand the power of the dark side"

But for the love of god if they make a Halo 3 course I'm going to flip... or even a flipping Harry Potter. The last thing we need is people thinking that you are nearly invulnerable and can flip a freaking tank, or people going around saying gibberish with sticks trying to cast magic.

Oh wait... scratch that... most the bums I know do talk gibberish and try to perform magic when drunk...

In Texas public colleges/universities they will pay back some of your tuition as a "bonus" if you graduate in 4 years, as opposed to the scenic route of 5. I had no idea it was getting that bad, but hey, I don't plan to take my time.
