Pain. It was even worse then last time. It felt like someone was ripping his chest out of his sides with barbed wire at the same time. His skin and mucles were burning as his insides began to blister and his bones shattered and splintered. He tred to scream, but was silent once more. He oppened his eyes but it was nothing but blackness. He saw nothing until his concious slipped back into the void. The second figure arose and saw Thurstan an the first figure getting up. Their hesitent and twitching forms as big a give away as their silent movements. "You to?" They confirmed his question but spoke of nothing. They headed back to the buggy and loaded their gear, The buggy seemed somehow smaller, but they pushed it from their minds and climbed in.
They drove all day and into the night. It was getting dark fast, almost too dark for even the lights to penetrate its black folds. They could barely make out a town and pulled off towards it. They repeated their process from the first town and went to sleep, although not right away.

Ok im back and here's more...

The second figure's eyes shot open. The pain was unimaginable. It felt as if someone had taken a white-hot iron and wrapped it around his body while his body was slowly being pulled apart by two buggies headed in opposite direcions. His sides felt like the skin would burst into flame and split apart at the same time. His face itched like there were thousands of festering blisters being scraped down with sandpaper while someone held a blow tourch to his skin. Silent screams echoed in his head as his mouth seemed almost locked shut and his insides burned. The screams of torment echoed in various pitches as voices yelling about suffocation and death clawed at his vary exhistence. The world was dark to his eyes and he could see nothing.
He woke up instently, a faint itch and throb of pain gently tugging at the edges of his weakened mind. He lay where he was, unmoving, breathing deeply the cold air and letting it cool his body, inside and out. He put his hands over his face, trying to forget everything that had happened to him. Once he pushed the tortured thoughts from his mind and let his heart rest, he drew his two hands away. But there was still a pressure on his faceplate.
He held up his hands so he could get a better look at them. He sucked in a short breath.
He had four arms.
He followed the two additional limbs back to their origin. Right below the his shoulders, on the sides of his chest, that was where the extra limbs had sprouted from. He looked at his arms for a long time, turning them and looking at them. He finally nerved himself to stand. He staggered his tired body to the hallway that lead to the surface. He struggled up, forcing himself to stop every couple of feet and let his head stop spinning. Once he reached the top he walked through the doorway, his head just barley clearing the top of the frame.
He put a hand on his head and turned. The door was a good 8' 6" tall and he had passed under it by almost 2' the day before. He had grown taller over the night. He watched the sun slowly begin to rise, obscured by the chemical storms in the distance, before he remembered about his companions. He hurridly stubbled down to thier room, just as the others were biginning to wake. He put two of his hands on their shoulders and told them, "Be still, something happened to us last night."
The second figure stood off to the side, leaning heavily on a wall as the others awoke to their new figures. Thurstan, in rage, punched the closest wall and his fist broke through it without even a slight hesitaion or slowing. He looked at his hands again and flexed. "What do you think caused this? It must be radiation or something. Was it radiation? or chemicals? strange how it didn't kill us." Thurstan called over his shoulder as he walked towards the hallway, "Looks like what ever happened didn't fry your vocal cords, what a shame."

After all three had gathered their gear they headed up to the surface world and went to their buggy. The buggy was the same size, but they were proportionally bigger. The headed out, searchingfor signs of the "new life" Thurstan spoke about those few nights ago. This time they wouldn't stop for the night, no matter what.
A few hours after night fall, in the road ahead of the buggy, a strange creature emerged from the earth. The second figure swurved to avoid it, but the back half smashed into the thing. The impact almost threw the buggy into a spinning flip as the second figure slammed on the brakes and tried to keep the buggy on its tires. The buggy skid two complete circles before finally slowing to a stop. He looked out the side of the buggy, a huge dent from where they hit could be clearly seen. The creature, however, was completely unfaised. It turned around to face the vehicle and howled an ear splitting howl. The second figure slammed his foot on the accelerator as the thing lunged after them. The first figure powered up the turret and fired away at the creature. Amazingly, most of the rounds seemed to deflect off of its hide, and it continued to gain ground as it charged.
"Drive up one of those nearby cliffs!" Thurstan roared over the sound of the turret. The second figure adjusted his direction and headed up the cliff that rose out of the ground. He skidded to a halt as he reached the top. The first figure continued to fire as Thurstan grabbed the assault rifle and switched it to the grenade launcher. He fired at the creature, its arced tragectory made it impact directly on its skull. The creature screached in death as its momentum carried it forwards. It slid across the ground until it barely touched the back bumper of the buggy, dead. "What the heck was that thing?"
Thurstan remained where he was, watching the creature, " I think... its one of the forgotten." His voice was in a low whisper. "A What now?" "A Forgotten!" He practically screamed the answer back at the first figure. "One of the poor wretches that couldn't escape down into the bunkers when the Cataclysm began." The second figure climbed out of the driver's seat and grabbed his sniper. He walked to the edge of the cliff and looked down onto the ground. "You may want to keep your weapons at ready!" He shouted over Thurstan and the first figure, who were arguing over the creature. "More of those... things are headed this way...."

Charging across the ground, 20 more of the forgotten headed towards their cliff. Thurstan tossed the assault rifle aside and grabbed his own sniper rifle and walked up next to the second figure. The rifle was much smaller in comparison now. Each of them took aim at the leading creature.
There was a flash.
In the distence the echoing thunder of a chemical storm rolled over them.
They fired simultaniously.
Both rounds his the lead creature in the head. It staggered but regained its footing, refusing to fall. They reloaded again and fired. Thurstans shot penetrated through its right eye socket, while the second figures' hit its right shoulder. It roared in agonizing pain and tripped, its momentum flipping it over and sliding it to a slowed halt in the dirt. Its other pack members cleared over their fallen breatheren and continued forwards.
The second figure walked back to the buggy while Thurstan continued to snipe the forgotten. He grabbed his RPG and several additional rockets. He used his four arms to rappidly load and take aim. He followed the pathway of the beats and fired. The rocket spiraled down onto his targets. It one of the center forgotten directly in the back. The forgotten was torn apart by the blast and several others were seriously injured as well. Some of which were thrown into the air, limbs still trying to run before raining blood and limbs down onto the earth.

The pain was slowly returning to them. He kept his mind from lingering in on its viel tenticles that wrapped his body and began to awaken his nerves. He fired another rocket, and in took out a lead forgotten. He forced himself to reload another and fire. His aim was sloppy and the path was random. It hit between two creatures near the back of the pack. The spasms of pain were to great and he threw the RG aside in anger and picked up his sniper. He fired, round after round, down onto the beasts as they drew closer to the path that lead up their ledge.
The first figure had switched to his assault rifle and launched grenade after grenade into an arching path onto the beasts.
Thurstan suddenly dropped his sniper rifle, and it fired as it hit the ground. He grasped at his faceplate and fell to his knees screaming in pain. The second figure pulled him away from the ledge and set him down, briefly checking the place where he was holding. The round had penetrated the faceplate and went through his left eye into his brain. Unsure if the damage was permanent or if it would kill him, the second figure turned back to face the larger threat. He reloaded the clip and fired at the creatures that bounded closer. The first figure began to fire the turret, and hundred of casings began to rattle off the turret platform.
He swurved side to side, trying to halt their advance, but they shrugged off the barrage of rounds and only focused on trying to reach them. The second figue reloaded a fourth clip and continued to fire at their face.
Only two remained and the second figure was out of rifle rounds. One creature lept up at the first figure, directly into the firing turret. The bullets ripped it to shreds from the point blank range. The other one rushed the second figure and lept for his face. The second figure crouched.
Just before it was upon him he fell backwards and kicked out with his feet. He vaulted the creature over him and off the edge, it roared in anger as it disapeared from view. As it fell, occationally smashing into the rock face, the second figure took Thurstan's sniper rifle and fired into its body. By the time the forgotten's body smashed into the ground, it was already dead.
Exhaustion flooded over him as he turned around. He saw the first figure, collapsed over the turret, pulling it up and aiming into the sky. The turret and already run out of ammunition and the barrel only spun without stop. The second figure tried to take a single step forwards before collapsing onto the ground, face first.

--------------------------------------
The pain wasn't that bad, only the feeling of being slowly pulled apart, while your flesh, muscle and bone is slowly being burned away from your body. He didn't scream, yet he wasn't silent. He barked, growled, snarled and howled at the pain. His muscles slowly throbbed and burned and blistered. He wasn't awake, yet he wasn't asleep.
The next morning's sun disturbed him. The second figure picked himself up and looked around. Most of the bodies of the forgotten lay dead where they were. But a few were missing and he followed the suspicious trails in the earth that indicated something dragged them away. Strange how what ever did it didn't bother to examine them as well. The first figure was pushing himself up off the turret, its barrel still spinning from when he passed out. The first figure shut off the turret's spining barrel and attached another belt into the ammunition chamber. He fired a few rounds so the belt caught cleanly. Thurstan still lay where the second figure had moved him.
He walked over and examined the damage. There wasn't any blood so the bullet ust have barley gotten through. Thurstan showd now signs of infection or iritation... he seemed fine. He twitched and woke up, letting the second figure help him to his feet. WHile he did tis, the second figure noticed he was taller, proportionally balanced as well, and his second pair of arms took less concentration to move them.
Thurstan was different...
