Heck come on over and I'll give you a ride in my boat.
Maybe you should motor over and pick them up.

I would love to but in addition to a larger boat a few months away from work and the family.

When I went to college I had saved up money from working in a restaurant for a car but Instead I spent it all on skydiving gear and a Schwinn ten speed. I would often do two round trips a day at 6 miles each. Man was I in good shape.

So far the gas prices are the same here I bet tomorrow they will go up.

They have already arrested one station owner here for price gouging. Sam's club was about the only station that did not raise their prices over $4.00 a gallon.

Wholesale gasoline prices were, as of Friday, around $4.75/gallon, and it's being speculated that many stations around the country are "eating" some of the cost so that they can hold out until the price comes down... which, by the way, gasoline futures for delivery next month are still around 2.79/gallon.

Seriously though, Ike has shot up the price, and we need to find an alternate fuel source soon. I personally don't think we spend enough time research new alternative ways to save gas and/or find a new source to power our vehicles.

Thank god my work is near me, but a shame I have to use the bus to get to school.

The problem isn't really Ike, its the companies. An 80 cent increase is excessive no matter how you slice it. Why is it that the price of oil has come down almost $50 a barrel from the peak and yet gas remains at $4 per gallon from a peak of about $4.50? The only jump that I saw here near Chicago is maybe 20 cents due to Ike, but we never really fell below $3.95. The only reason I complain is because I drive a truck that gets maybe 17 mpg on a good week.

It's because they can. And there is never enough profit in their minds.

I’m sure the weather issues in Texas are a great excuse to hike the price of gas.

Was 1.26 per litre one day, and then before we left for our weekend trip, price was at 1.49 per litre.
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.

That is so cheap it actually hurts to read it.

Well I heard that the average price will go up about $.12/Gallon for about a week. There are also some stories of local places that jacked up the price just before the storm hit though. I don't know if that was figured into the equation. I just hope AMR takes advantage of the drop in oil prices to hedge some fuel like Southwest did.
