    Cirque du Soleil

I don't know if you have heard about it. I went tonight to see one of their shows, QUIDAM... it was AWESOME!!

If you ever have the opportunity, it will be worth your money. It isn't cheap, but I recommend it!

I've seen La Nouba twice, and it's also awesome. I would like to see more shows, but since I just got back from all that time in Disney, I can't see one of the touring shows here in DC this winter, so that'll have to wait.

I saw the water one "O" in Vegas and that was pretty cool. My wife says the asian and fire themed one was better.

Watched some of a performance in HD in HDNet last month. Absolutely amazing show ... some clips of the best performances:

I guess I’m lucky in that I come from the place where Cirque was created.

I saw the very first one, which was nothing like it is now. It was in Old Montreal, under a big top, and even had funny clowns going around in the audience. I think I was 9 or so

The Cirque actually started with a guy who wanted to get all the street performers together and put them under a big top to perform. That’s what he did. Thing is, street performers are usually very open to doing amazing things, and thus in future years, it became what it is today.

I think I’ve seen the first showings of 6 or so of them here in Montreal. I would love to see the ones in Vegas (“O” and Love mainly).

La Magie Continue (the Magic continues) (early 80s)
We Reinvent the Circus (late 80s)
          Alegria
          Saltimbanco
          Quidam
          Dralion

The joy of living in the city where all new productions kick off their tours.

It is so worth it to go see them. People think that because it has Circus in its name, its elephants, bears on balls, clowns and so on… while it can have that, it is sooo much more.

That reminds me, I sent an application to work at their head office a week ago… need to follow up.
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.

Other than being a clown, nothing really that would make me fit into the Cirque (and no, not a real clown, just a guy who acts stupid type of clown haha).

Looking into a Business Analyst position working with their HR systems over there.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
