Ride my bus, get off at one of the transfer points, ask around and you might be able to get one for $50! But I guess you'd have to pay the difference in air fare.

You linked an iTouch, not an iPhone. The iTouch has (to my knowledge) no link with your phone company.

Its essentially a stripped down iPhone that acts like an MP3 / movie player with a touch screen.

So yes, you can stay with Verizon if you get an iTouch

Will the itouch use WiFi? I know someone who bought an unlocked I phone just for the other features. If I remember correctly he was able to surf the net but not use the phone functions.

Well crap. Oh well, I still want one. The games and music would definitely help in college since there's a 3 hour gap in between my classes that really gets boring. Not to mention it looks like it'll be way more successful than the PSP... which was by far the financial mistake I've ever made (that or getting a Wii. the Wii was really fun, but way too childish and not enough selection for games)

Anyways, I'm excited to listen to disturbed while in this quiet Computer Resource Center room awaiting my friend to complete his 5 hour long test so I can go home.

Look into the iPhone instead of the iTouch. Its pretty much the same thing, but with phone capabilities.

As for its availability with Verizon, after a google search taking a whole 20 secs, AT&T seems to be the only carrier currently. However, there are rumours that Verizon might get it in 2009.

But frmo what I hear, the iTouch is all about marketing. Its really not worth the price. Blackberry is coming out with its new touch phone which will have a MUCH better tactile sensor than the Apple stuff. Its all hype, its all about keeping up with the Jones'

Screw Ipods and Itouches. Zune is where its at. Mine is a 30gb and I love it. It is big enough for all the stuff I put on it. It can have games and I actually have access to game design software that I can make a game for my Zune. You can also listen to the radio and tag songs that you hear to be bought and downloaded later. You can sync wirelessly, so if you have wireless you can have the Zune connect to your PC wirelessly and have it add new songs to your Zune. You can also stream songs to other Zunes if you know people that have them.
