Sorry Vito, but I can't go with a New Yawker accent, primarily because of bad memories of hordes of Long Island women heading to sorority parties and congregating in the dorm lobby when I was working as a desk assistant at College Park. Talk about annoying. It forever killed the appeal of the entire Tri-State area from the accent perspective.

Answer - no. Because nobody thinks they even have an accent until someone tells them.

french-canadian. Got a friend who's up there whom I talk to regularly on a vent chat and it cracks me up who he drops the h sound off of certain words.

American accent when it comes to English
For Spanish...I don't like the Caribbean ones (sorry if someone is from there)
And the best one, of course my Catalan accent

That's the first time I have ever heard that.

Like Rand said you never know you have one until you meet someone with one. I have cousins that grew up in Australia so at a young age I learned about accents.

BTW Minerva my cousin and his new wife live somewhere in Spain.

I am taking Spanish right now in High School, and we regularly talk about the differences between Mexico/South America/Spain.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but my teacher says that in Spain it often sounds like people have a lisp when they are speaking. I think they often pronounce the z and the c before i or e like the "th" in "thin". Everytime I hear it I have to laugh just cause it sounds funny compared to the Latin American style spanish that I am learning.

heh, yes.. For instance "ciencia" is pronounced as "thienthia" while Latin Americans say "siensia" You would probably laugh at me, but don't forget that this is the "original" Spanish If you need any help with it, don't hesitate!
