I think that I'm with Apache with the southern drawl, especially comin from a pretty little southern belle.

As far as not knowing your own accent, it is 100% true that you don't realize it. I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere so everyone from around home here thinks I grew up in Tennessee, just because of the way I was raised. What was really odd is I recently went down to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Alabama vs Ole Miss football game, and they all picked me out right away as being from near Chicago. I think its amazing that they can pick me out like that.

I’ve always liked the ? accent.
Although the ? and the ? is a close second.

I love most accents. russian, asian, spanish, mediteranean, irish, aussie, south american, ...

There is just something about someone with an accent that shows they are probably from a different culture and that always has me greatly intrigued. I just love diversity in people.

If i did have to chose, I'd vote irish.
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]

You know this reminds me of when I was in the UK. I work for a UK based firm and while over and out in a pub a bunch of us tech folks from both sides o the pond were arguing a couple of points. Tech people in the US say route and router like rawt and rawter. The UK say it like root and rooter they kinda had me though when they said "hey we invented the language"!

I think we tossed a lot of their inventions when we came to America, like kingship (of course the last eight years might say differently)! Also, for many of our ancestors (in the US) English was not their first language...and so there are different residual inflections from the family's native language which are passed on. (Germans, for me)

I don't have a favorite...it really depends on the voice, and the words that come out of their head! I appreciate all accents and/or the lack thereof...though the element of the unknown in a foreign accent does often lead me to believe that I might have a chance to expand myself by learning of the traditions of others.

But here's one that all guys like...It's that "Awww" they do when they see something cute or feel sympathy for you. Makes my heart melt.
