An update with my life and future (important.. well for me it is)

The Admins know for the most part and a few others but now I let yall in on it.

I will be enlisting in the Army, I am going to MEPS and will be gone Mon/Tue for my physical. I will be 11X going 11B (which is Infantry) And if I pass my testing and there is a slot open.... I will be going Airborne.


I don't Know for sure yet on Airborne or enlistment bonus until I go to MEPS but I will post it up as soon as I can. If everything goes well, I will be leaving November 11th for reception and will be starting BCT November 21st. I will be going through Ft. Benning Georgia. My training will be OSUT which means 14 weeks of BCT and if I get Airborne I will get another 3 weeks for jump school. Luckily I am doing this during the Christmas season. The Army takes two weeks off for Christmas so I will go through the first 3 weeks of basic and will most likely be home around the 18th of December til January 1st-3rd to kick all your asses. Then back to training. (lol they say the first 3 weeks is the hardest and then its all down hill... and I get a mini vacation after it )

Also on top of all this... I made all the requirements for advanced enlistment rank. So instead of starting out as a nothing private... I will be a private with a stripe. Unless I can get one of you dinkle berries to enlist.. then they will give me another stripe and some extra money

So far, from what I am understanding. I will be enlisting for 3 years, wanted 4 but Infantry only has 3 year enlistments for some reason.

Just a heads up... next few months will be rough but I will still be around until the 11th. And I will be back after I get everything sorted with basic

Best of luck to you Bar! I have a cousin down, actually, I think at Benning right now. He's a 2nd LT., did air assault, pretty sure on jump school, and he's received orders for Rangers that he applied for. Have fun at Basic, at least it's easier than the Marines

Bad news - No time for gaming or socializing with him anymore.

My recruiter told me that the Barracks have internet access. You have to pay for it but if it is reasonable and I am state side. I will just have to buy a kick ass laptop... besides D3 and COD5 is coming out. But downside... I could be in Iraq within a month after graduation. Depends on the unit I get put into. Which means no Pc gaming... I hear they really love the Xbox in the army. Might have to practice on that a little.

My first priority will always be family so if I get near a computer I will always email them first but I will definitely get you in there. This place always be my gaming home and you guys are just like family


I won't have much to show until I graduate but I will post any pictures I have/get. I know I will have a butt load for graduation but that ain't til late February early March. My Mother is bound and determined to get every picture on the planet she can... and I don't have the capability to say no cause she has handle my choice quite well. And family was the thing I was most worried about with this decision. lol

FYI: your job in Iraq drastically affects your internet accessibility.
One of my employees was driving transports, and was on the road 99% of the time.

He just got called up AGAIN, and will be doing sentry duty at the base. LOTS of online time available.
