    Omg!!!!!!!!

I just saw the most epic basketball finish ever LIVE AT THE ROSE GARDEN!

Portland Trail Blazers vs the Houston Rockets at the Rose Garden.

Great game all the way though, neck and neck, Portlands largest lead was about 10 but wasn't for long. We led by 7 or so until Houston had enough of our lead. So they catch up, we go into overtime.

So it's overtime, and its tied at 96 with about 10 seconds left. Brandon Roy takes it and does an amazing 2 point shot. It's 98 to 96 Portland. Houston takes a time-out to get the ball near their hoop. They pass it in to Yao Ming who gets foul and makes the shot, and gets the "and 1".

So its' 99 to 98. .08 seconds left of the game houston leads. Portland takes a time out and gets the ball. The fans are pissed, expecting a loss and about 1/8th of them decide its time to leave.

The ball passed in two All-Star Brandon Roy who turns around and swooshes the 3 about 4 feet away from the 3 point line.

I nearly crapped my pants, and I think so of the arena did. I saw a pissed off audience cheer so loudly I nearly went deaf.

Blazers win 101 to 99. Epic win. Eat that Tracy McGrady

Hell yeah. We were all the way at the top but I saw that swoosh and immediately I jumped out and screamed something... probably **** yeah!!!!!!!!!" luckily everyone else was screaming so the little kids below me most likely didn't hear me haha.

It was a great game... by far the best ever that I've seen. I wanted to get a jersey because I... wanted one? But I didn't know who. LA, Rudy, Steve Blake, Outlaw... all favorites of mine. But after that shot... had to be Roy. So here I am supporting my favorite basketball player (he was mine when I started watching the Blazers again last season). Go B-ROY WOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all you Houston fans... that sucks... better luck on your next game. BUT THIS IS OUR HOUSE! THIS IS PORTLAND! THIS IS SPARTA!!!... okay maybe not sparta but you get the gist of it.

I might have been able to raise a little itty bitty bit of excitement for the NBA season but, oh yeah, Seattle's team got stolen.

You're looking at the wrong stats. Many basketball legends have stated that this was the HARDEST start for any team in the NBA, playing 5 of the HARDEST teams to beat. And we beat TWO of them, probably the hardest 2. And we won once, back in 1977. But how many times have the Blazers been in the Finals? The Final for Western Conference? Yeah, that's right... more than the little rockets :P

Have fun losing again in the first round of the playoffs McGrady!

Where do you get these records from? I haven't even heard of the Blazers until a couple years ago.

As for Houston losing in the first round, then all I have to say is we won 2 in a row, so beat that amigo.

The year after the Blazers won the championship they went 51-10 (from what I remember) and were well on their way to back-to-back championships before tragedy struck. If it weren't for Bill Walton's injury the Blazers may well have been one of the nba's dynasty's. Also their one and only championship (so far) came on their very first trip ever to the playoffs, not many teams can say that.

They haven't made the playoffs for the last five years or so but before that they went 21 straight seasons making the playoffs, the second longest streak in nba history behind the 76'ers.

One of our greatest players Clyde Drexler helped the Rockets win their second championship, and the Rockets current coach Rick Adelman took the Blazers to the finals twice in the 90's. Idk if he can take the Rockets there with their current line-up but he has them playing very well.

Houston Rockets Championship finals = 4 (won 2 lost 2)
Portland Trail Blazers Finals = 2 (won 1 lost 1)

I really don't think we can argue about those results compared to LA Lakers or any of the good guys, I accept that fact that the Rockets suck, not as much as Blazers, but still suck

For the record, our greatest player is Hakeem Olajuwon

                        That's 3 Blazer finals with 1 win (1977, 1990 and 1992).

But ya the Lakers and Boston sadly hold most of the championships, at least our teams have won one a lot of teams can't even say that much.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the Rockets suck but they still aren't championship material in my book... yet. The Blazers are the 2nd youngest team in the league but they probably have the most talented young team in the league, so I wouldn't say they suck either. If they can beat your Rockets they must not be too bad, lol. At least neither of us has to suffer having our team be the Hawks.

Well I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses but A LOT of the games are made based on All-Star Statis. They either love an All-Star or hate them. Officials LOVE Kevin Garnet and Kobe Bryant (or at least use to, they seem to like to call T's on him now), but the last game I saw the Blazers vs Boston I wanted to throw up, the refs were PATHETIC. They got away with so much crap and we had the win in our hands, we just couldn't grasp it with those refs.

And you think the Blazers suck compared to the Rockets? Who won Thursday night Buddy? Hmmm... I'm seeing 101-99 BLAZERS WIN. What are you seeing?

Not to mention that game was the TALK of every radio station here in Portland, and when watching the Heat vs Spurs game (which was horribly boring), they were talking about the 1.9 seconds of the Blazer game. Also during the Denver vs Dallas game, they mentioned that game A LOT.

The game was huge, and we were victorious and you say the Blazers suck? Hmmm...

As far as I'm concerned we've been a BIG impact on the NBA. The only bad thing was the "jail Blazers" era, which is gone and over and we're redeeming ourselves. I don't think the Rockets have done much, except maybe have Scottie Pippen for awhile who got traded to us!

I remember a funny sign someone held "Houston, you have a problem. WE'VE GOT SCOTTIE!!"

7pm I'm sitting my butt down and watching another Blazer victory.

What shows your team's suckyness is that you guys are happy you won over Houston lol. I don't follow the NBA anymore but did your team win over the Lakers or Celtics? If so, then they might have a chance in hell.

That's just ignorant and unintelligent. You think my team is crap because we are happy we won? Hell if we won by 1 million we'd be happy. Our team is one of the greatest teams, and has probably the most fans, and never gives up. I believe we had about 811 consecutive sell-outs, the most in NBA history... even when our team wasn't that great.

Point being, is this is an exciting season, and Portland shows that your team doesn't have to win every single game to make basketball fun. A flawless winning team makes its audience lose interest fast. I don't watch for the win, I watch for the excitement. People say I'm a quiet person... hell I went with 2 people I don't know (tayeke's work buddies), at first they were commenting that I was too quiet and stuck to myself. Once the game started I was on my feet cheering and booing and having a blast. That's why the Blazers are the best team, they have the most people able to do that.

And I don't think Houston sucks. I don't care for Tracy Mcgrady personally, but the shot was Epic. The last 1.9 seconds of the game beat 2 records.

                              1) The most points scored in a game in less than 2 seconds on the clock.

                              2) The most points scored by a single player in less than 2 seconds on the clock.

And you say my team sucks
