Best of the Lair

I can't start polls or nothing because I'm a poor man struggling in college with stupid professors (literally, I have an 89 year old professor that can't run her class worth squat and hasn't gotten to the age of technology).

Anyways, just curious...


Out of all the games you've played here on the Lair, which game has been the best? In other words, which one did you really enjoy and never want to end?



I'll start. Mine is my homegame (since it brought me to the Lair), Battlefield 2. That game was the best game I've ever played and probably will ever play. That games got EVERYTHING I love about a battlefield. Jets, tanks, APC, Apaches Squad, snipers, rocket launchers, no-nade spamming (except the start of karkand), Artillery, UAV, Supply Drop, The friendly 50 medics on a team that run around and revive you before a nade goes off to make you wait longer. Black Hawk Helicopters, cobras... aww so much left I'll just say it was great.

Only problems I had was the J-10 was overpowered (but boy did I love flying that thing) and spawn killing got annoying, also the bullets not registering was bad.


So lair, what was your favorite game?

I've only played bf2142 and COD4 on CL. Overall I think 2142 was the better game but when it was popular nobody knew me hardly at all at CL. I've had more fun with the CLR's on COD4.

I will say also that even though Fallout 3 has no MP I have greatly enjoyed all the threads devoted to it here.

And the CLR football league has been great fun!

I'd have to say BF2142... Cains Lair was that server that was always full so I didn't bother to even try to connect, but then one day it was at the miracle 63/64.. So I jumped in and haven't played another server since

Nothing beat the teamwork on either of the servers. I miss it

+1 i loved playing 2142. also DoD 1.3 and source during that time when cain was playing almost everyday to start the server, i was there.

Well I first came across Cains Lair in BF2 but didn't think much of it but it was one of my favorite servers. I bought UT2004 but never found cains in the servers, I also didn't liked it so I didn't play it much. It was just not my cup of tea. Too much like UT03. I like UT99 better then UT03 or UT04. I did like some of the maps

I played serveral other games in between then COD4 came out and I think it was serveral months before I found Cain lair again. I liked the server cause people always talked. And the game counsel advertise the website... But I never visted. I remember it was Moe in-game advertise to vist Cains lair forums. I visted but just read the fourms. untill I decided to register cause I was only aloud to read 5 topics or so... Got tired of re-freshing my cookies.
