Were talking about domestic abuse it should not be joked about, a sandwich might not cause physical damage but defiantly can be used to intimidate and humiliate the victim.

Sorry, but I don't find the story funny at all. A man hit a women on the arm and face. I don't care if he used a sandwich or a nerf bat, it turned into a dangerous situation and people could have been seriously injured had she lost control of the car.

1 - if you touched him it would be assault, not abuse.
2 - So something would need to be able to take out an eye for you take it seriously?

They (police, society, everyone) always take the woman's side. For all we know, she might have tried to throw a sandwich and he took it and threw it at her, i.e. self defense against a sandwich, right?
