I heard about this on the news this morning. Makes me glad I didn't go out early and get caught in the crowds.

What really gets me though is why wal-mart? They said the mob ripped the doors off the hinges. What do they sell that crowds would trample you to death over?

This is the prime reason I don't go to these sales and stand like a moron in a line just to save some money. Idiots in this country don't impress me very much with their intelligence when it comes to these items.
Now with that said, do I have to explain why I maintain plenty of ammunition and weapons in case of a disaster ?
If I were the cops I would get the video footage and convict every stupid shopper that walked around, on or over this individual.

I'm going to have to disagree a bit here. Humans don't rule this world, technology does. Ever since the advance in technology there was a decline in inteligence. Think about it, with cars, who the hell walks? Gas went up to 5 !#$%@#^ dollars a gallon for christ sakes. A women flushing a person down a toilet? A guy showing no respect because you couldn't buy !#$%$@$ booze that he can't live without? Internet that allows communication, but all there is is "aww F*** you N word" or "F####t! Q###r! H###! Fruitcake!" all over games we have? Try playing Halo 3 for 3 hours without hearing one person call you a homo or the N word or threaten to have sex with your mother.

In my opinion, Freedom, technology, and greed are what controls this planet, not humans.

But as for this topic, why the hell was that guy standing here? And since the guy worked at Wal-Mart I feel no real pity (of course I am sad for his death, it was a freak-accident and those people were stupid), but Wal-Mart is destroying competition and is soon going to be a monopoly. They need to limit their stores, whenever they move into a town, even that towns man store like Safeway or Fred Meyers is instally destroyed.

I work at Fred Meyers and hear stories all the time about another one of our stores being brought down because a Wal-mart moved near them.

That dead guy must have been new, because if you've worked for how long I have at a grocery store, you know that people won't even see you or give a crap. To them customer first means that they can treat us like garbage and get away with it. I see it all the time. I didn't have that great of a Thanksgiving because people were treating me bad like that do all the time. But luckily my girlfriends grandparents made a killer dinner. I thought I was going to die after eatting that delicious meal.

And so my post actually contributes something...the guy was new. If you had read the article you would know that. And the article also claims that the crowd tore the doors off of the hinges. How do you know he was just standing there? What if he was walking from an area on one side of the door, to the area on the other side for any number of reasons. Perhaps an employee spilled a soda they were drinking, and his boss told him to go mop it up, and at that moment, the crowd poured through, and unfortunately trampled him to death. I'm not saying that's what happened, but it's not an unreasonable scenario. And as for the rest of your tirade, perhaps you should consider http://www.complaintforum.com (I don't know anything about this site, I simply googled 'complaint forum' as a joke, and this site came up, so I dunno). And you know what, except for their riot contol policies, I have no problem with wal-mart. Decent products at a cheap price, with nearly everything a college student needs.

This is over an Xbox with some play along guitar included in the box. You can see customers taking the boxes straight off the wooden pallet. One guy even breaks open the box while still in the store, digging around inside. Camera guy laughing the whole time.

These mobs can't get away with this. It's not free for all, you gotta pay for this stuff, and people die over it.
