Yes I do. I don't think they need to be trying to make a weapon that is that out of character. Any elderly that needs to defend themselves can do it with a 410 shotgun or 38 revolver. If they are incapable of handling the weapon they should leave it alone and be staying with family that will protect them.
Oh and most of the elderly I know from where I grew up, can and do handle weapons with no problem and don't need this thing to help them out.
