      I'm thinking IBM in the late 80s to mid 90's.

      That puts you at #2 + The "not-so-mainstream" Revival (via aquisitions, folding divisions, and restructuring core product strengths)

      Microsoft will be a different company, so long as Bill stays out of the way of his child. The child has graduated from college, and is now an adult. It will make mistakes, but it should be successful in the long run.

      Buy stock in the lows while you can and then hold it for a 10-15 year investment me thinks.
