Oh man.... Looks like my new 1TB Seagate hard dive I got for Christmas is listed as being affected.... I've email the support guys and am hoping that I can just do a firmware update to fix it.... But I got the drive to use in a new Nexstar Drive Dock.... but it appears to be faulty as well... Oh man

1.5tb here and it looks like a newer firmware, but I have not even hooked it up yet, so no idea on its deficiencies, if there are any to deal with.

The infamous SD15,17 & 18 firmware units made in Nov/early Dec are the ones giving the most problems to end users so far.

I was talking wit a buddy of mine on IRC who is in the computer industry who works for AMD and he says all u need to do to ensure ur drive doesn't fail is make sure u run multiple drives in RAID....not sure why...he didnt have time to expand his discussion but he says he and his co-workers all have drives on SG's "questionable" list and in RAID they have had no issues
